Been busy with a couple relics and curios.

Post by Cornmastah on Tue Nov 10, 2015 11:44 am

I've made a couple purchases this last week.  I ended up ordering another Swiss rifle from classicfirearms (long barreled k1911) and a Steyr M95.  The Steyr is in great condition considering the fact that it is almost 100 years old.  I had to order some enbloc clips, and still need to order some ammo, dies, etc...  The Swiss rifle I am still waiting on.  I will post pics when I get the Swiss rifle in.  I was also eyeballing a Swedish mauser at the local shop which came complete with the bayonet and looked great.  I've heard great things about the 6.5x55 cartridge.

    Very cool.

Will you handload the ammo for those rifles?

Yeah, for sure. I want to pick up some of the gp11 surplus ammo if possible because it is such great stuff. Match grade ammo sold as milsurp. The Steyr I plan on casting for and shooting lighter loads with. I think otherwise, it would be very expensive shoulder punishment. Very big cartridge for a smaller, lighter rifle/carbine.

Here is a picture of that Nagant Revolver I picked up for about $220ish. I am going to thread the barrel and suppress it as one of my 2016 gun projects. With the gas seal ammo/moving cylinder, it should suppress very well.

Corn, just when I think I've thought of about everything that can be done with guns . . . you come up with something different. Good Lord Almighty, a suppressed Nagant revolver! I will have truly seen it all when you post a picture. I will no longer feel weird when I come up with an unusual idea, thanks to you.

I really wanted to buy two of those revolvers... One to play with and one to keep in the original condition.  Kind of getting hard to find while still in the 200ish price range.
