ALWAYS wear eye protection when shooting!

Went shooting with a few buddies last week and caught this on video. Thank goodness for eye protection...

That guy must have seriously limp waisted the gun. Normally it kicks out the cases quite vigorously.

But you're right - always wear eye protection. SASS has now mandated wrap-around protection. We had a woman shooter (quite good, too) get a piece of ricochet lead hit her in the eye - from the side! Caused a corneal abrasion, which is irritating. Fortunately nothing worse, but it could've been.

I don't think it was limp wristing, I think the problem is that he is stiff arming with his right arm instead of letting both of his elbows bend a little.

Dev, you have the .44 mag version, right? Does yours kick brass out straight up?

Been a while since I shot it but no, I don't think so. You should look at the ejector. Since the thing is basically an AR in true pistol form, you should be able to take apart the bolt easily.

My sense looking at the video is that the case is being ejected by the frame, not the ejector. Look at the frame and see if there are any brass marks.

I always wore eye protection, but after getting grazed on the cheekbone by a 357 mag bullet shaved in a revolver (I've told this story before here), I am militant about eye protection at the range.

There are a myriad of ways to injure or even lose your eyesight shooting unprotected. A traumatic cataract will trash your eyesight permanently, and it is SO EASY to happen!
